Dropped into The Hungry Workshop in Northcote yesterday to watch the lovely Simon and Jenna Hipgrave print my piece for their group exhibition Trophy Lives this coming friday the 4th of May. I even got the chance to print a couple myself too. Incredible space, incredible presses and equally incredible people.

Another bit of work I found looking through blogs of posters. Something I seem to be doing a lot and loving it because you find nice work like this “Enamored Owl”. The work is made by using the letterpress print process and the effects are just fantastic the little groves, bumps and textures that are all about on this spiraling style of work. This work is full of spirals and shapes to create structure to the image but also there is a use of flowers and leaves textures to add shading to parts. It’s a very interesting and unusual illustration by Cerriteño but I do like the drastic change in the effects from thin black leaf lines to bold gold filling the colour of parts. The second photo shows of the image so well and it just goes to show that zooming in with a camera can really help show of your work online because a simple photo does not give a bit of work like this any credit. Very Nice.
